Overview
Aluminum heating / cooling block for even transfer of heat or cold around inserted tubes. The 15-position format is suitable for 1.5 mL and 2.0 mL conical or round-bottom tubes and is compatible with multiple cryotubes.
Intended for enzyme storage or transport, cell culture and PCR when sample or reagent temperature needs to be maintained, particularly where wet ice may be undesirable.

Why we chose it
Sometimes you just need a solid block of metal doing exactly what metal is good at.
Tubes need to stay warm or cold, and wet ice is not always the nicest thing to have around clean work. This block gives up to 15 tubes a dry, defined place while transferring heat or cold around them.
I like that it solves two ordinary problems at once: temperature and tube organization. No electronics. No moving parts. Just the right tube format, a pre-conditioned block, and one less thing to think about.
