Overview
Aluminum heating / cooling block for even transfer of heat or cold around inserted tubes. The layout provides 96 positions for PCR tubes or strips plus 10 larger-tube positions.
Compatible with 0.1 mL and 0.2 mL PCR tubes and strips, 1.5 mL and 2.0 mL conical or round-bottom tubes, and multiple cryotubes.
For PCR strips, the block provides stability and helps reduce splashing during opening and closing.

Why we chose it
PCR-heavy, with room for the sample-prep tubes too.
The 96-position centre keeps PCR tubes or strips organized, while the 10 larger positions let sample-prep tubes stay in the same temperature-controlled setup.
I especially like the PCR layout because strips stay supported during opening and closing. That extra stability helps reduce the chance of splashing - a small detail that matters when the tubes are tiny and the sample is not replaceable.
